Description

Crisp and vibrant green beans sautéed with garlic and finished with a burst of lemon for a delightful side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 350 grams fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep those beans: Rinse them under cool water, trim the ends, and snap them in half if they’re too long.
  2. Sizzle time: Heat up the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the green beans to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and stir. Cook for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp and vibrant green.
  5. Remove from heat, then stir in the lemon zest and juice. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Notes

Feel free to substitute lemon with lime for a different twist! Garnish with toasted almonds or crumbled feta for an elevated dish.
