Description
A succulent grilled chicken dish topped with melted cheese and sautéed mushrooms, perfect for any dinner occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey mustard sauce
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup Swiss cheese (or cheese of your choice)
- Fresh thyme or rosemary, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Mix honey mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create a marinade for the chicken. Coat each chicken breast well and let it chill for 20 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken breasts and cook for about 6–7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Sauté the mushrooms in another pan until tender and flavorful.
- Place the sautéed mushrooms atop the chicken and cover with cheese. Let it melt and bubble for a few minutes.
- Sprinkle with fresh herbs, slice, and serve.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier option. Serve with mashed potatoes or a salad.
